Hello, hello! Is this thing on?

We are currently running Foxr... er, System Auditor v3.0.3 and everything is fine. But I was on the Schneider Electric GCS web site yesterday and noticed that v3.1 is available for download. My question is, is there a compelling reason(s) to upgrade to v3.1 if one is happy with v3.0.3?

Anyone here running 3.1? Did you upgrade from a previous version? Is there an upgrade procedure? (I haven’t peeked in the Zip file yet.)

See attached Release notes. 

Key improvements (beside bug fixes):

- Improvements in Alarm Management (Custom Reports - Basically a report aggregation tool to join multiple reports in one)

- New Alarm KPI Summary Feature

- Import SOE from Triconex

- FTPS support 

- CNI Support

- Increased Dynamic Alarm Shelving # of alarms supported (from 300 to 600)

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for the Release Notes. Scanning through it, I see a reason or two to upgrade to v3.1.

I see in addition to the Release Notes, the Zip file also includes the Installation Guide, but it appears to be the full-blown installing-from-scratch guide. Is there a quickie guide to upgrade from v3.0.x to 3.1? (Sort of "drop these .exe in the ~/foxray directory and you' re all set"?)

Yes it is. At GCS website you can find the latest installation manual which includes the upgrade procedure
