I purchased a license and I'm getting the error "Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Lightjams\Updates' is denied." when I try to import it.

I feel like its a permissions error, but not totally sure where to start. Anyone had this issue before?

I'm away from my comp at the moment, but it's on Windows 7 Pro if that's helpful.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can try going in the the  C:\ProgramData\Lightjams\ directory (paste C:\ProgramData\Lightjams\ in the file explorer address bar since it's a hidden folder) and then delete the license.xml file. Then try importing your license again.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. I tried that. Even tried purchasing a different 2 day rental licence to see if it was a download failure and that didn't work.

I hadn't originally saved the license file in that folder, but when the error said that I moved it over there and it didn't work either.

Do you have any other ideas? or does LightJams need any further permissions?

Thanks!

Ah I had to run the program as an admin and it worked! Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Are you able to manually put the license file you downloaded in the directory? Try it and Lightjams should load it after.

Also make sure the file has not the read-only attribute set (right click on on it to see the attributes). You can also email me directly at mat...@lightjams.com.
