More endless shack maintenance and tidying but some playing with radios and software and discuss the next steps - transmit iGate?  Remote HF?

David Mugridge made the discovery that some of the spare coils of cable are 75ohm video stuff which is annoying because it's not labelled so it would be good if we could test it all and chuck away what's of no use to us.  What equipment would we need?  My MFJ 269 analyser is in the locker but would it be easier with a more modern one and what else would we need in the way of dummy loads etc?

Igor: do you want to test your equipment with the aerials again and if so how long will you need so we can plan around you?

Check here and IRC on the day but a few of us will probably start with brunch in 'Spoons and retire there later.

A few more distant members appeared from the woodwork over lockdown - would there be an appetite for a separate online meeting or online slot (and maybe shack tour) in this meeting?

Hi JJ!

Yes, I would like to do some tests with the aerials. It will take approximately 2 hours. And I can start at 2pm.

But I am flexible, so I can start at different times and I can fit in a smaller amount of time.

Best regards

To be honest we don't really have a plan for Saturday other than tidying and 'doing something' with the radios and interfaces so we'll wing it and try not to drop any boxes on you.  :-)

I'll contact you off-list about your licence.

Hi JJ,

It looks like I have a clear afternoon tomorrow, so I intend to pop up. I'll bring my nanovna and any other gear that's needed and I will measure the impedance of those spare coils of cable. I'll give you a call when I arrive.

Dave

Thanks David,

The shack looks a lot tidier without random rolls of cable everywhere and we have plenty of 50ohm (and ribbon and other aerial-related stuff) if members need some for themselves.
