OT: American Scientist: Expanding Consciousness

This article in American Scientist magazine argues persuasively that insects have some form of consciousness.  My world will never again be the same. This article is well worth buying if you are not a member of Sigma Xi.

Here is the letter I sent to the two authors:

Dear Profs. Chittka and Wilson,

Many thanks for your superb article in American Scientist.  It is the most astounding paper I have ever read.  It is clear, compelling, balanced and thought provoking.

Imo, it compares favorably with the superb review, "What is consciousness, and can machines have it?", Science 358, 2017.
