SB: Designing the sabbatical

This is another in an ongoing series of Sabbatical Chronicles.

The sabbatical has already taken some unexpected turns. I have been surprised by how much urgent work I have had to do with Leo. I think that work is nearing an end :-)

So the transition to an "official" sabbatical continues. That said, the transition has yielded an important insight:

•     The sabbatical is a break from Leo
•     Leo is also a break from the sabbatical

As a result, the sabbatical has much higher energy than I was expecting.

As I have just written in another thread, I am always willing to discuss Leo, its code base, urgent issues, and pull requests. There is no point in letting bugs and hangnails pile up.

Summary

This is my sabbatical, and I'll do it any way I please :-)

I'll continue to handle urgent issues as they arise.

Aha: handling urgent issues as they arise means that:

     It doesn't matter how long the sabbatical lasts.
