I have just completed the process of abandoning all work on #325:

1. Closed #325 and marked it "Won'tDo". The first comment of this issue explains why.

2. Copied two scripts to scripts.leo. They are interesting in themselves, and may serve as a model for future work.

3. Protected the "commands" branch. This contains several days work. I think it wise to retain this work indefinitely in case I should change my mind about #325.

4. Updated Leo's branch info page to say that the "commands" branch will be retained indefinitely.
