Devs: please run your tests before asking to merge a PR

I'm trusting that all devs run Leo's test-all command and run pylint on any changed files as part of their testing for a PR.

I'm going to know if you haven't done this: after merging a PR I always run test-all and run pylint on all files.

Please don't make extra work for me.

(I knew i had forgotten something important last night when i was wrapping things up for the p.r.)
