This concludes the programming work on #1757: Fix bugs in vim mode and vim emulation. Some documentation will be revised.

See PR #1770 shows all the changes. Only a few lines of Leo's key-handling code were changed. Nevertheless, they are significant. Please report any problems immediately.

Vim has a very useful command - select the chars embraced with. Like entering `vi)` selects everthing among (..); `vi]` -> [...], etc.

And `viw` selects the whole word (same as ctrl-w in leo normal mode).

Is there anything similar in leo-vim-mode?

I don't know. You can see the bindings in leoSettings.leo:

@settings-->Keyboard shortcuts-->@ignore Unused key bindings-->Vim emulation

You can add features yourself by modifying the shortcuts in this tree.
