Dear lenstronomy users,

I am happy to announce that lenstronomy has been accepted as an astropy affiliated package.
What this means, you can read here:

For you as a user, nothing is changing.
If you are a developer, the fact that lenstronomy is an affiliated package will make your own software that makes use of lenstronomy better integrated into the astropy ecosystem and you can apply for an astropy affiliation for your lenstronomy-dependent packages.

In the near future, I hope to even better integrate lenstronomy into the astropy ecosystem and pull requests will also be evaluated on dependencies to other packages and whether there is an astropy (affiliated) routine we can utilize.
One change to expect is a better integration with the astropy.constants and astropy.units modules for a subset of lenstronomy functionalities.

Thank you very much for your usage, feedback and contributions to the source code that made this step possible!

Best,
Simon
