Hi! I'm starting my first electronics project and saw online that hackspaces were a thing, I was wondering if you could help or guide or explain what you do?
I'm building a LARP spell-casting glove using an ESP32, flex sensors, an IMU, and addressable LEDs. As I'm a complete beginner, I'm trying to keep the cost down where I can, so I want to make sure im starting this project correctly.
The outcome im after is essentially a “magic glove” that reads your gestures,
then sends signals to different areas of the costume to create cool affects:
“turn on a light in the palm of my hand to make it look like im enchating”
“turn on fans to create movement in a cape”
“Turn on a lantern with a click of a finger”
I’ve never tried electronics before, so any advice or guidance would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
