Hello everyone,
It's that time of year again when Leeds Fest is upon the region, and Festival Republic that run Leeds Festival opens up the opportunity for local charities and community groups to scavenge among the remnants that festival goers leave behind.
Do you need tents? tent fabric? tent poles? You can even get a full tent, with its bag and all tent pegs worth £300+ usually.
Or maybe a marquee?

Do you want a spare USB charging battery bank, butane cooker (with butane) or pretty much new clothing, wellies or footwear?
Do you want a camping trolley or three? Maybe camp lighting?

Do you need to top-up your pantry with unopened dried and shelf stable foods and drink?
Then let me know and you can come along and salvage on Monday the 25th of August at Leeds Fest. Usually I go along and help out local food banks and pick up some useful electronics.
I'm still waiting for more details from festival republic, but if you get in touch with me directly, and if you have your own transport, then I can take some details from you, and give you the information pack you'll need to get along on Monday afternoon and salvage for as long or as short as you need to. All that's asked is you make a note of what you need.
If you can't make it, but you want/need some items, reach out to me directly and I'll pick up the items for you, and we'll meet at the Hackspace and I'll hand them over.
I'll be going as 'leeds hackspace', but you don't strictly have to be a full member or keyholder to come along.

I reached out to you directly but I haven't received a reply.
I've since had updated information from Festival Republic, and new attendees for this are now pretty much closed unless you can get back to me a little faster as there's a form that needs to be filled in before the end of tomorrow.
