Hi All

Apologies for slow update. A new control box was ordered last Tuesday and dispatched Wednesday , unfortunately Royal Mail have failed to deliver on Friday, Saturday or today so it’s hopefully going to arrive tomorrow even though I’ve tried to organise collecting it from the depot or local post office.
I’m also hoping my friend will have sorted out the 2 damaged screws that are used to hold the compound rest in place. They had almost been rounded off due to a mixture of over tightening, not clearing swarf out before using hex key and using the wrong size hex imp/metric.
If all goes to plan I should have all the parts by end of day tomorrow and will be on the way to getting it working again during open night.

Good news the compound head now has 2 new A2 Stainless machine screws which need a 7/32 allen key (also supplied).

Bad news - Royal mail have admitted to losing the parcel so CPC are sending out another one hopefully tomorrow

Spent the afternoon fitting new kit and building a strong base for control boxes (yes plural - it will have an extra emergency stop)
I will be back in tomorrow to finish the wiring and get it reinstated

Update

In the process of rebuilding the control gear I unfortunately spotted that the casing of the 2 position switch (forward/reverse) had also been damaged and needed replacing (cheap all plastic affair). I ordered the parts yesterday and I’m awaiting confirmation of delivery, should be tomorrow so might be ready for open night.
