Hi Everyone,

So after a lengthy closure the Leeds HackSpace is opening on Saturday January 29th!!! This is also Nomadics 5th birthday so don't forget to go say a happy birthday to them!

Even with the space open again we want everyone safe so we ask that you use common sense when deciding to come to the space, if you don’t feel well please stay home, wear a face covering when in the space and use the hand sanitiser that’s located around the space, if you have your own goggles, ear defenders or other workspace PPE please use them and if you don’t please use the wipes or spray to clean the items used this also goes for your work area once finished please give it a wipe. Lastly please respect others peoples personal space, some people are still unsure about being around others but still want to work on projects. One of the most noticeable changes to the space will be the brand new laser cutter!!! Now as its new it does mean a quick re-induction will be needed before it can be used. A few machines have been updated or fixed in this time and inductions will be needed on these before they can be used,  the list on the workshop doors will be updated to reflect this.

We thank you for your patience and continued support over this time while we’ve been closed and while we get the space back up and running.

I'd just generally *always* do a Lateral Flow before mixing with anyone
(even my parents) indoors, so could this also be a request?

I'd echo that. And suggest everyone stocks up with tests before the government decides to stop giving them away.

YAY we made it :-D
I agree recommending taking a test before coming down is a good idea :)

Great news, a big thanks to all those who have kept the space ticking over though all this!
