Dear LEG colleagues,
We have just finished writing a free online book titled “Agent-Based Evolutionary Game Dynamics”, which may be of interest to some of you.
https://wisc.pb.unizin.org/agent-based-evolutionary-game-dynamics/
The book is written in a modular fashion and can be used as a textbook for different courses on Evolutionary Game Theory:
https://wisc.pb.unizin.org/agent-based-evolutionary-game-dynamics/front-matter/preface/#potential-courses
It contains more than 100 exercises with detailed solutions.
If you have a look at it and have any comments, we would be most happy to hear them. Also, if you feel like writing a very short review (like the ones you find at the back cover of some books), please do let us know and we will consider including it as part of the book. Our plan is to officially publish the book in a month or so.
Finally, if at some time you use the book and you feel that we should add something, we will also consider your comments for future editions.
All the best,
Luis R. Izquierdo & Segis Izquierdo
Dear LEGers,
On the topic of evolution and games, the journal Games (where I am active as section editor and that was discussed critically w.r.t. its MDPI governance in this forum a while back) this year has two prizes, the Best Paper Award and the Outstanding Reviewer Award, with a ceremony held on 9th of October at 10AM CEST. For more information please visit the following link: https://sciforum.net/event/Games-1?section=#welcome
The awardees are Jonny Newton (for his wonderful EGT review) and Satoshi Uchida (for his diligent reviewing work at Games), with an intro by Ulrich Berger.
If you want to attend, please register via this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/1217189695521/WN_V1uS8hqeRO6IRrTNFIaIzQ
Best,
Heinrich
Thanks for the announcement, Heinrich!
To increase participation incentives, let me add right away that the ceremony includes two talks by our awardees:
Prof. Dr. Jonathan Newton |
10:10 am - 10:40 am |
Prof. Dr. Satoshi Uchida |
10:50 am - 11:20 am |
btw: That this is going to be an EGT event is a pure coincidence, but of course one I am very happy about!
Hope to see many of you on 9th October!
Ulrich

@Berger, Ulrich: Conjecture -- it is not a “coincidence,” but corroboration that EGT is great stuff done by great people ;)
