Wednesday Night 2026 — Race 5
Date: 2026-06-10 • Wind: Light
The 5th race of the series brought out 14 boats for a very humid night of sailing. The big problem was no wind. The RC checked everyone in but did not call a course till it got closer to the normal start time of 6:30. In true fashion the wind filled in from the south where a mark was previously set at 170 deg from the start line with a .6 mile leg to be sailed on a W4 course. The race got off to a start on time. Windfall was OCS but came back and restarted properly. As the race progressed it looked like the wind would not hold for the entire 4 legs so the RC went to the 3rd mark and shortened course there. Congrats to woot! and crew for line honors. The crew of Downtown was not too far behind and captured 1st on corrected time followed by T for 2nd and Uncle Ludwig for 3rd. All boats got back to their docks before the impending rain with some thunder bumpers came in. After the race a fun time was had at TJ's at the Holiday Inn.
