The Lagom documentation describe Deploying on other platform.
http://www.lagomframework.com/documentation/1.2.x/java/Overview.html#Deploying-to-other-platforms

How do we start a lagom microservice without using ConductR ?
   ie  java -cp... <classname>

Or should I be referring to Play Framework documentation for this ?

Thank you.

Rgds,
jay

It is early days still, and things will get easier again, but you may also be interested in the DNS based service locator. I'll be publishing its libraries very shortly.

This is not the first time this question comes up. I think we should link to the different external service locator implementations (consul, zk and dns) from the docs. In particular this section: http://www.lagomframework.com/documentation/1.2.x/java/Overview.html#Deploying-to-other-platforms

+1 for you Jonas but some explanations could be useful to in the doc too. We tried to deploy without conductR, we failed.

Please note that there’s a lot of WIP regarding the DNS SRV service locator for Lagom right now. Once this is done and tested then deploying outside of ConductR becomes more possible. Feel free to review/add PRs:

Cheers!
