Is there any work planned for this? And more than taking your microservices containers piecemeal to Kubes, is there a deeper integration play being planned? Like use this tool to generate a Kubes yaml deployment file, or leveraging Kubernetes service registration  etc. for lagom microservices...?

Hi Animesh,

We do run all our Lagom services on Kubernetes. Why kind of work are you expecting from the guys at LIghtbend on that side?

It's already doable and very easy! (thanks to the StatefulSet to create an Akka cluster: https://medium.com/google-cloud/clustering-akka-in-kubernetes-with-statefulset-and-deployment-459c0e05f2ea)

Cheers,

There are engineers at Lightbend investigating Kubernetes integration as well. You might be interested to follow along with this pull request in progress now:

Tim

Thanks. So I am new to Lagom, but I believe its more than just Akka. Play is also part of it - what else?

Now for an end to end user experience, it would be something like - Start with an IDE - Write your Microservices code - and then generate containers and Kubernetes yaml file - then take them and manually push to kubes cluster.
