Maybe because kubevirt is enforcing the state,
you need to invoke the command through virtctl.

Hi team,

I noticed that when I execute `shutdown -h now` command in guest machine, kubevirt will auto start it. What I expected is the opposite.

Is that how it's designed or it's a bug ?  Is there any way(like an option) to change this behavior ?

Hi,
This[1] documentation summarizes it pretty well. What you are looking for is most likely a "Manual" strategy.

Hope it helps,
Lubo
