[VEP-76] Request for 7 day feature freeze extension

Hi all,

I'd like to request a 7 day feature freeze extension for VEP76.

PR 16670 waiting to get merged (approved/lgtm) blocking the merge of PR 16776 with another critical feature:

PR 16923 is still waiting for review and is crucial for delivering upstream releases of KubeVirt:

Hi Lubo,

16670 and 16776 did not make it before the release-1.8 branch was cut.

Therefore they need to be backported.

https://github.com/kubevirt/kubevirt/pull/16983

16954 is again stuck in CI and 16983 depends on it.
