------
As the Kubernetes ecosystem expands to support more application domains, the performance improvement and isolation capabilities exposed by Kubernetes becomes a hot topic. This BoF will gather community folks together to have focused discussions on Kubernetes features that help enable performance-sensitive applications. We will present use-cases from different application domains which benefit from existing resource management features in Kubernetes. We will also discuss some on-going proposals and perspectives on performance features.
Through this BoF, the audience will gain an understanding of how to leverage already existing features to run their performance-sensitive applications in Kubernetes.
------
Content ideas:
- Application domains: HFT, NFV, Content delivery, HPC and ML.
- Which features are helping with the above apps: cpu manager, huge pages, device plugin, CRD?
- Roadmap for features: cpu manager, numa manager, resource classes, out of tree driver support, RDMA.
