Hi Folx,

Initiating a thread for discussing the offensive/biased term "guys". Though this is not part of a technical word, we have these in our issues a lot and some markdown files. Maybe we cannot change anything in the Case Studies markdown files and issues already created but we can recommend the alternative terminologies for addressing. This has been flagged as an offensive term or a biased term in many organizations. We also flag this in our K8s Slack and CNCF Slack already.

Offensive/Biased Term:
guys

Possible alternatives: [1]
- people
- folks
- team
- friends
- everyone

Hi Karthik,

I agree that "guys" is an offensive term, but I don't think it's one that we need to account for with a recommendation – it generally doesn't involve code.

Cheers,
Celeste
