Proposing Jorge Castro as new co-chair

Hi Contributor Experience Folks,

2020 has brought about a ton of changes for everyone, myself included. One of those changes has been a new job at Square that has left me with less time than I'd like to dedicate to the community. After over 3 years as Co-Chair for this SIG, I think it’s time to let someone new take a turn as a chair.

After careful consideration, I’d like to nominate Jorge Castro to fill my role. Jorge has been a long time contributor to our SIG and has consistently stepped up when needed to fill key leadership roles in our subprojects. Jorge brings an enthusiasm for the community that I think is infectious and I have confidence that he would do a great job. We will discuss Jorge’s nomination at the next meeting, Wednesday, April 4th, 2020 at 09:30 PT. If approved, Jorge would assume the role of Co-Chair with Bob Killen then. If you agree with this nomination, please respond with +1s! If you have any questions or concerns about this nomination, please either respond to this thread, or reach out to myself, Bob, Christoph, or Nikhita privately.

It’s been such an honor working with y’all over the years, and I’m so incredibly proud of the work we’ve done.
