[ANNOUNCE] Vendor Seats Open on the Kubeflow Distribution Committee

Hi Kubeflow Community,

With the Kubeflow Distribution Committee (KDC) charter now merged, four (4) vendor seats (40% of the committee) are open for appointment by the Kubeflow Steering Committee (KSC) for one-year terms.

If your organization has a meaningful stake in Kubeflow distributions and the broader ecosystem – whether as a distributor of Kubeflow subprojects, a contributor to Kubeflow subprojects, or an organization operating Kubeflow at scale – we encourage you to apply.

What vendor representatives do

• Help shape requirements for the Kubeflow Conformant mark
• Provide a vendor and ecosystem perspective on the distribution, portability, and packaging of Kubeflow subprojects

How to express interest

• Reply in the #kubeflow-community-distribution Slack thread
• Or send a direct message to any KSC member

Please include

• Your organization and involvement with the Kubeflow community today
• Why you would like to represent your organization on the KDC

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the next steps, please join Kubeflow Community Call today at 8:00 AM PST.

During the meeting, we'd like to:

• Discuss the next steps for forming the committee and hear from interested members
• Review the work-in-progress policy for vendor-packaged Kubeflow distributions that wish to be listed on the Kubeflow website

Hi guys,

Can I please request that we schedule another meeting focusing on community distribution in an Australia-friendly time zone so that I can attend. With two kids, one of whom is only two, it's difficult for me to attend the community call at 1 am. 

US EST morning times, or evening/late evening times, are much better for me and this will work for Europeans as well.
