Hi,

I've noticed a problem in Version 2.5.0 (shipped with Debian Stretch) when copying/moving files:

When you select one or multiple files in one panel and drag the selected files to the other panel, a Dialog-Box appears with following options:
Move Here
Copy Here
Link Here
Cancel

The problem is, that the selection is removed before any option is selected.

This behavior leads to following drawbacks:
1. You cannot verify if the selection is correct before choosing a option.
2. When choosing 'Cancel' the selection is lost completely (annoying because you have to reselect all the files again).

The previous behavior in Version 2.4.0 (unselecting the files after Copying/Moving is finished) was more logical and practical in my opinion.

Was this behavior changed intentionally or is this a bug?

Thanks and regards,
Goo

Hi,

Settings->Configure Krusader->Panel; in section "Operation" option "Unselect files before
copy/move".

[I'm actually unsure why this option is there. I can't think of a good reason to always
have the source files unselected before the file operation.]

Cheers

I think the same (it looks like if it was better that this option was not there, because everyone seems to prefer that their files are not unselected before starting a file operation).

Greetings!

Thanks for the solution!
I can't also not think of a reason for unselecting files before the operation.
At least I would make the previous behavior to the default option.

Agreed, I changed the default to false.
