Hello

Is there a solution to switch the Action in F2 and F9, while the buttons stay at same position? All of known Programs switch to Edit-Mode if press F2 (Total Commander, Double Commander, Dolphin, LO-Base, LO-Calc, , most of File-Open-Dialogs, Excel, Access). I have it changed with the Result below...see Screenshot. The Finger-Tip-Behaviour is ok, but the intuitive Mouse-Moves and the View is wrong.

Thanks in advance

Thomas

Sorry ..... it seems this is all in English .... the button F2 (F9 position) is called "Umbenennen", which means "Rename"

Hi,

Edit krusader/GUI/kfnkeys.cpp to replace UPDATE(F2, i18n("Term"); with UPDATE(F9, i18n("Term"); and vice versa for "Rename", recompile, install (tested to work).

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Yuri

if that the only one solution, it does not  ;-) I am a User, not a developer. Is there really no another way?

Can you not just remember what each key does without having to look on
the screen? There are only 10 of these buttons to remember.

In simple words, no. The nine buttons are nine actions which happens to be binded with keys from F2 to F9;
if you change you keybind, the hey will disappear, while the button remains clickable.

As said by Yuri, the only way to change this behaviour is to modify source code, _or_ introduce a new layout
for that bar (which means changing the code) like "the function key bar shows binding from f2 to f9".

I know this is not a fast solution.

Hi Davide

This seems to be a curious binding. It seems "Rename" is always bind to the position of  F2, no matter which FN-Key is really assigned for it. This is curious. Would not it be correct to assign a FN-Key is an arbitrary function and the location of the FN-Key is always the same?

But it not possible, to solve it... also can close. If I use Keyboard, there is no problem... but the Mouse moves automatically (for a long time) to the correct  Button-Position, which now its wrong.

Thanks for your explanation.
