Is there a way to replace "Open the folder history list" and "BookMan II" with icons instead?

I recently installed Krusader version 2.6.0

Showing the text takes up a ton of real estate and there is only a very small amount of space left for the path.

The previous versions of Krusader had icons for these which is what I want since I don't use these two features anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Just disable thoes buttons in the settings if you don't use them anyway. If you don't want to disable them, use another icon theme that features the icons.

I'd love to disable those buttons or even just be able to turn them into icons.  The problem is I can't figure out how.  Can you please provide the steps?

Are you referring to the Settings menu option?  Under Settings I don't have a Panel option.

To see the icons instead of the text you need use a proper KDE icon theme, see the FAQ
entry here: https://krusader.org/report-bugs/index.html.

Please also consider upgrading to v2.7 as icon handling has been
significantly improved there and we fixed a few bugs.
