Hi All,

Krusader 2.4.0-beta3 (both machines)

On my Scientific Linux 7.2 x64 machine, when I copy or move
a large file, I get a progress dialog box.

On my Fedora 23, x64 machine, I do not.

How do I get my copy dialog box back?

Many thanks,
-T

Hi,

Under KDE, Krusader uses KDE notifications to show copying jobs in the system tray. So you should disable the appropriate notification system.

Right-click on the System tray, choose "Configure "System tray"", untick the corresponding item.

Or, under other desktop environments, it can be some problem with dependencies:

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Yuri

I am doing a large copy on the machine that has the dialog box.
These two showed up. Do they ring any bells?

20878 ? Sl 0:01 /usr/bin/knotify4
20880 ? Sl 0:00 /usr/lib64/xfce4/notifyd/xfce4-notifyd

rpm -qa kde-runtime-kuiserver
<nothing>

Not on the good machine.

This is what I do have:

$ rpm -qa kde-runtime\*
kde-runtime-drkonqi-4.10.5-8.el7.x86_64
kde-runtime-4.10.5-8.el7.x86_64
kde-runtime-libs-4.10.5-8.el7.x86_64

If it helps, on the machine in question, when I use Xfce's file
manager to copy large files between two windows, I do get a
dialog box.

Upgraded my Z87 machine from FC23 to FC24 Beta. No symptom change.
Copied a 7.4 GB file to an NTFS stick, after four hours, it had only
copied 2.8 GB and I had to shut it down. And no progress dialog box.
