Hi everyone,

We've just released Kong 0.11.2, which includes a few new features and
some more bug fixes!

The highlights of this release are:

* New endpoints to paginate through the Kong-managed credentials (API
keys, HTTP Basic Auth credentials, JWTs, ACLs, etc.). Thanks @hbagdi
for contributing this feature.

* Some more new endpoints to retrieve the Consumer associated with such
credentials. Thanks @hbagdi for contributing this feature.

* Core fixes and performance improvements, notably related to the
parsing of multipart payloads.

* Performance improvements for both rate limiting plugins when using the
Redis strategy.

* A few bug fixes to the hmac-auth plugin.

Our warmest thanks go to our contributors and users for their feedback
and suggestions!

Regards,
Thibault

Very neat! I guess quicker releases are going to be the norm. Question: For migrating 11.1 to 11.2, will a migrations call be necessary? How do we as users of Kong differentiate when upgrades require the Kong migrations command to update the datastore vs just changing our dockerfile to 11.1 -> 11.2 and relaunching the Kong application on the newer source. Or are DB migrations/updates only a requirement from large version transitions. Aka 9->10->11->12?

Hi,

Indeed, migrations are only needed between what we refer to as major version bumps (0.9 -> 0.10 -> 0.11).

Our documentation refers to the UPGRADE.md file as a source of truth for migration paths between all versions (minor and major) and details some subtleties as well as a migration path for minor upgrades like this one.

Cheers!
