Images keep dropping off

Hi,

I've been using this app for over 5 yrs and it has been working great. Last year i did a factory reset on my LG phone and imported the records from the previous exported file. All the records were imported but since then, I haven't been able to attach images for more than 68 records. Every time I added image for the 69th record, image from one of the first 68 records dropped off. Just wondering does anyone has the same issue? Is there any easy fix? It took me ages to add the pictures which they just keep disappearing.

Hi Jessi,

ok, that sounds really strange. First, there is definitely no limitation inside the app which drops the 69th image... just kidding ;)

I understand, that the import of the archive went well but then you were not able to add more than 68 images?

Can you please reproduce this and *directly* after that send a support mail to me?

Hi Jürgen,

Thank you for the advice. I have just reproduced the issue and send you a support mail directly from the app. Before the update, there were 68 records with images. I added pictures for one of the others without, and after the update, the count was still 68. The record I updated has images loaded so image has dropped off from one of the records previously with image.

this is really strange. Btw; what do you mean by update? Do you mean the switch from your old to your current device? Where do you get the number 68?

Hi Jürgen,

I was referring to updating one of the records with no image to reproduce the issue. 

Attached a screenshot of what it looks like on my screen. You'll see some records have no image shown and there is one with image. I just manually count the number of records with image shown on the list and now never pass 68 records. However, i've actually added images for every single record when I created them.

Yes this is so strange. It wasn't like that before when I first started using the app. This only happens since I did the factory reset on my phone and import from the exported CSV.

you said you imported from a CSV file. So I assume it is correct to say that after the import no record had an image displaying?

Hi  Jürgen,

Yes, when I imported the CSV file, there was no image displayed. I had to upload all the pictures back to the phone (to the same folder as where they used to be before the factory reset), then went through all the records in the cellar to re-attach the images. I didn't notice the issue until I went through all the records and reviewed the full list, gave me a heart attack!! (just kidding)

Just some more information, I have also tried taking new pictures instead of using the old ones (those copied back to the phone) but it's still the same.

My cellar increased in the past and after adding the last storages I get rid of the latest images.

Hello,

it as my fault - in the settings I had "external storage for images" activated and the files were moved, so Kellermeister wasn't able to locate the files. After disabling the feature and binding the images again, it's solved for me.
