Morning Sandra, apologises for the delay in responding to your query.
The Bridleway is closed due to its dangerous conditions and other issues around land ownership. The amount of repairs the Bridleway is needed is quite extensive and will not be completed immediately as it would need a lot of resources and money. This is the reason why a TTRO (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) has been made to close the Bridleway for 6 months, which expires in January 2023; however we have now extended this to 24th July 2024. Recently we was made aware that even with the notices on site of the TTRO, members of the public was still attempting to use the Bridleway, and from that we arranged for some more prominent signs to be put up on site to show that the Bridleway is in fact closed to all. Unfortunately at this time we do not know when we will be able to arrange to carry out the repairs and to re-open up the Bridleway to the Public.
