They did not respect Cyanobacteria or mycorrhizae nearly enough!

I really thought cyanobacteria was gonna take that round.  I mean....it's microscopic and therefore elusive!!!!

Hahahaha, I absolutely misunderstood that the better-ranked competitor is who gets home habitat advantage so my habitat assumptions were in reverse for everything. I mean, why would you give a higher seed MORE advantage???  I guess nature is unfair that way, but come on give the little guys a chance!

My love of the platypus was misplaced.

FYI according to the video, the mycorrhizae merged with the Ginko and they both advanced.  The bracket scorer does not know what to do with this information.

I made the executive decision to record all mycorrhizae winner choices to ginkgo as it is the merged organism that is competing (but the tracker is only tracking the ginkgo).  Thus some scores have been updated by one point.
