Working of sewing centers

"Kartavya- an effort to educated India", which has already achieved good results in educating the slum children, is now taken a step towards the Women Empowerment. Kartavya Dhanbad Chapter had installed 3 sewing center in areas of Lahbani, Koranga and Nagasthan basti in July 2018. Women and girls are being trained there to learn and improve their sewing skills by the trainers (recruited from the same areas) for around 6 months. Now many of the women are doing great in sewing which will help them to ensure some earning and lead a self-sustainable life. We had a Sewing exam at each sewing centers which was judged by Ms. Lopa Mundra ma'am( Executive member and legal advisor Women cell collectorate, Dhanbad) on 24 Feb 2019. Total 28 women ( 6 from Lahbani, 10 from Koranga, 5 from Mondol, 7 from Nagasthan and Turi) have passed the exam successfully and a certificate of training was awarded to all of them.
