The far right calls for WAR

It can't get much clearer than this. Many on the right use the term WAR to describe what they want for response to Kirk's murder. 

The thing is, the thing that distinguishes the right from progressives, is that it isn't the FAR right that calls for war. It starts in the White House and filters down from there. It's on right wing talk shows. It's all over social media. 

You don't hear Hakeem Jeffries or Charles Schumer calling for war. Or Obama or Harris. Yes there are fringe progressives who say fringy things. But they are relegated to the fringe where they belong. For the rightists, the fringe is now where people like Mitt Romney and other civil heads reside. 

And THAT is a significant distinction. Fringe and dangerous rhetoric won't disappear; but it should stay in the shadows. But for one party, it's front and center. And it isn't the Democratic party of 1864 or whatever. It's today's MAGA crowd.

You have called them things like nazi, racist and existential threat, you called Jan 6th and insurrection. You tried to take Trump out with bullets and politically driven lawfare. You said when you see a Trump support you push back on them confront them and you did in restaurants and in their homes. You tried to stop people who offer a differnt perspective with free speech zones and when that didn't work you tried to disrupt shout down and threaten the speakers events. Now one of them has been killed and your initial reaction was laughing at his death and saying things like its a good start. The wars already started and you started. You won't finish.

You believe that there is a left wing conspiracy in this country to:

- control your life

- rule you like a tyrant

- take away your freedoms

None of these are true. 

There are a handful of left wing people and groups with these agendas...they need to be watched and checked. No war required. 

I know this means nothing to you. Deprogramming someone of your age is pretty much impossible. Your delusions have been constructed over a lifetime of reading about said groups and conspiracies by those who wish to use you for their own gain....and it's worked spectacularly. You certainly aren't alone. 

Can't help you much now, save to hope and, yeah, pray, that this little "war" you think you are fighting truly does stay only at words. It's concerning to hear you say "for now". Please don't become a footnote in someone else's poorly constructed tragedy, like a pawn cast off in a one-sided game of mental chess :/

There are people on the left and the right who want to control other peoples lives, not just the left.  Increasingly their candidates are the one's who win primaries. This is a struggle that has been ongoing for centuries and for the most part the march toward freedom has made much progress in the Western world, but that doesn't mean the war is won.

Brian, did someone else write this last post? This is the first time in AGES that you mention both sides of the political spectrum in an even-handed manner. 

But, in terms of controlling other's lives, the Right has a near monopoly here:

Overturn Roe

Massive long term fight against gay rights, still ongoing. 

Speculation by a Supreme Court Justice about regulation birth control. 

Etc. 

Now, using Kirk's murder, a rising tide of threat directed at the trans community. I'd issue a strong warning to trans people to be VERY careful. There's talk about removing their 2A rights, etc. Now that is what one calls a slippery slope. If you lose one constitutional right, then they all come under threat. This should engender a VERY strong response from BK. 

But BK, I assure that I (speaking for myself only), will not work to suppress you rights. G and I (likely CL as well) might find you to be a disingenuous fool; but we don't intend to muzzle you or physically attack you. 

Heck you might even call this site a "safe space". Or is that too woke?
