One might be tempted to shrug off measles as a right of passage for children. But in times when the vaccine wasn't available several thousand death occurred in the US yearly. That number got essentially to zero in the 1980's.
But measles is worse than a usually annoying disease. It suppresses the immune system for a couple of YEARS, making one susceptible to other diseases.
And is often causes diarrhea that can last for weeks or more.
And worst of all, it's a canary in the coal mine. If we are experiencing a failure in vaccination programs, then measles will be the first to show up. It's the most contagious. Whooping cough maybe next, with a MUCH higher fatality rate. Down the line comes bacterial meningitis. Two bacteria occur in children, the third usually in college age students. All are serious, with rapid onset of symptoms and high mortality.
I've talked about these diseases before. If the rise in measles cases is an indicator, other serious disease are apt to follow.
This is what I've talked about with Covid. The horrible handling of vaccination  (forget the other stuff) has made them way less popular. The chickens are likely coming home to roost. The first one is here. And since it's "not that bad", people aren't likely to respond with the appropriate sense of urgency.
It's up to the gov't to explain what might happen and get enough people to quite being stupid. Sadly, Trump did as much as he could to poison the well on this. And with RFK the poison keeps getting added.
Trump, ever the scorpion, got the Covid vax up and running really quickly. He then downplayed its importance. The result was a massive number of unnecessary deaths from Covid and worse an increasing distrust in other vaccines.
Undoing this will take a really massive effort and an enlightened gov't agency. Good luck.

Undoing this will probably take a culling.

Let it begin.

Progressives should be fine with this since at thier core they beleive people are inherently evil and there are too many humans on the planet.

There's no point in challenging your delusions anymore.
