So Hegseth goes to Normandy and lectures Europe about the "invasion of ideologues". He's talking about immigration/migration. How tone deaf can one be on a day meant to honor the liberation of Europe from the Nazis
And Trump says NOTHING about D-Day, instead posting AI slop honoring HIM.

The response from MSM is very near crickets. Imagine Fox News and OAN if this had been Obama or Biden.
We've never seen this many clowns stuffed into a dumpster and lit on fire. It's an abomination.

Trump will be Trump but Hegseth is right. The intentional importation of millions of refugees from the Middle East has been an incredibly stupid thing for Europe to do.

And yes, Brian, the US is  exactly the right country to tell them. And Hegseth is exactly the right person to convey that notion. And June 6 D-Day memorial is exactly the right day to bring  up this notion.
I saw an Instagram site, AI assisted, of children making snarky insults. This one is for you: "You aren't the dumbest person in the world; but you better hope they don't die".
Above is example # 10>23.
It doesn't matter if the message is appropriate or not. It's not appropriate on that day and that ceremony. But it's typical of Trump's total deaf/dumb/blindness when it comes to anything involving tact or diplomacy.
And Europe gets to chart its own path regarding immigration. They don't need advice from Hegseth.

And I almost forgot; Hegseth went  out of his way to characterize the current wave of immigration as an INVASION. Words matter; and "invasion" carries specific connotations that Trump has made sure to use repeatedly.

1
an act of invading
especially incursion of an army for conquest or plunder
2
the incoming or spread of something usually hurtful                                                                Not how I'd characterize what happens at our border or that of southern Europe.

Well the historical record is pretty clear about the harmfulness when Islam replaces existing cultures.
Be nice, even when you don't want to!

Yes, Brian. I just read how Islamic rule influenced Spain for 800 YEARS.
They really ruined the place. Here's an article on the subject. Wiki's is too long:

Our understanding of the history of the Mediterranean is pretty much told from the point of view of Greeks and Romans. But the Persians were a sophisticated and advanced culture; in many ways as much or more than the Greek/Roman. Now a lot of that was before Muhammed; but it didn't end with the establishment of that religion. The Spanish influence was AFTER Islam was established.
Note too that under their rule, there was a religious harmony between Muslims, Catholics and Jews. That ended in 1492 when the Muslims were expelled. That's when the Inquisition began. So things were SO MUCH better under Catholic dominance- as long as you were a Catholic.

Your extreme bias on this issue is sad/ignorant and off-putting. But I don't expect it to evolve much.
Recall that Indonesia is the LARGEST Muslim nation; and we don't hear much about their  nastiness. My brother and wife have been there more than once and just don't find any kind of religious issues when they're there.

Well, twat, how many of THOSE are trying to migrate to Europe? How many suicide bombers have done their thing in Europe?

Between 2000 and 2019, researchers at the Action on Armed Violence documented 22 suicide bombings in Europe. Looking further back, studies from the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point identified 31 suicide attacks in Europe between 1981 and June 2008. [1]
The majority of these occurrences took place in the form of high-profile, coordinated assaults by Salafist-jihadist groups. Notable incidents include: [1]
So we're talking about 2 incidents per year recently; and about the same number before the increased immigration trend. So FACTS suggest that there has NOT been a significant increase in these events since the "invasion" that Hegseth (and YOU) are warning about.
Also note that most events target military/police/gov't rather than marketplaces or civilian targets. But please, don't let facts deter you from your poorly considered opinions. Muslims migrating to Europe are most likely very much like Latinos coming here. They're fleeing something shitty and/or looking for something better (or is that redundant). The Latinos coming here are being labeled by Trump as rapists, murderers, drug dealers, etc. But FACTS say that that's a total fiction.
