Is this a dream? Apparently not. We've never had a foreign military presence in the US. Why Qatar? Why now?
Qatar is a putative US ally; but they also fund Hamas. Guessing that they are funneling money to Trump one way or another. Maybe buying his crypto shit.
It appears that various entities have bought more than $2 BILLION of Trump's crypto. This money is HIS. These buyers include foreign countries, various companies with a stake in regulatory reform, etc.
I'd call this corruption for certain. Also a violation of the emoluments clause. Probably impeachable. But I'm sure someone who is MAGA adjacent can explain how this is all perfectly kosher and that objecting to it is a sign of TDS. Maybe Leavitt will explain this all to us; or Stephen Cheung, in his typical calm demeanor. His typical response to criticism of Trump is to disparage anyone as a TDS sufferer, as well as being severely brain damaged.

Things to know about the Qatar training facility at an Air Force base in Idaho | AP News https://share.google/mrWZ8Vrqr4A3YL2T3

Your TDS is in full force. Many foreign militaries have training barracks on US bases around the country.

I just read and reply, Brian. That's NOT TDS. TDS is Bondi sucking Trump's dick while the House Speaker kisses his ass. Then a few dozen others line up to do the same. Have you ever seen a cabinet meeting with Trump and the sycophants? They all begin by lining up and kissing ass. If you think that isn't a "thing", then THAT'S TDS. You've sold yourself as a student of history; but when it comes knocking at your door, you're blind to the obvious.
So Qatar gets a training facility. I assume that this is considered something that we allow our allies to have. But Qatar finances terrorists. How does that balance your so-so response?

And then there's this::
Why are some upset by the announcement?

Right-wing influencer Laura Loomer — a close Trump ally — called the plan “an abomination.”

“No foreign country should have a military base on US soil. Especially Islamic countries,” Loomer wrote in a social media post after Hegseth’s announcement.

Similar training agreements have faced criticism in the past. In 2019, a Saudi Air Force officer training at the Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida killed three U.S. service members and wounded several others in a mass shooting. After investigating, the U.S. sent home 21 Saudi military students after investigators said they had expressed jihadist or anti-American sentiments on social media or had “contact with child pornography” online.

Others suggested the training facility was prompted by Qatar’s gift to Trump of a $400 million jumbo jet to use as Air Force One, though the possibility of a training agreement predated the gift.

Laura Loomer had to take her mouth off Trump's dick to write this. She's one of Trump's most ardent supporters. And even she's not happy. So does SHE have TDS? How did she catch it? Did she fail to get vaccinated? So my notions are not strictly far left. Plenty of reasonable people, and even some crazy rightists, are less than happy. It probably has to do with that $400 million plane that they gave to Trump. Can you spell quid pro quo? A Google hunt shows that several countries have a presence here. Most are Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea. Makes sense. Then there's Djibouti, Kenya and Cameroon. WTF. And then Saudi Arabia. Not sure why the African nations. But so be it. But Qatar is one of Hamas' biggest financial supporters, as well; and they house Hamas leadership. Not sure that I'd put them on the list for training in the US. But you seem happy; and that's what really matters. Maybe North Korea could be next. Wonder how much money they'd have to give Trump.

Well I dont know much about sucking dick. Maybe you have more experience with that. And I dont know when the Qatar training site was first breached, but I'd be surprised if it was less than a year ago.
Now, I'd like to know when Craig is going to come out of hiding and accuse you of being racist or Islamophobic..... however maybe that's a sign you are beginning to see the problem with Islam and Islamofascists.

I haven't said anything about the base itself. I HAVEN'T offered an opinion on it one way or the other. I only mentioned that your extreme overreaction and drawing of conclusions was evidence if your TDS.

We've sold them F15s we probably should teach them how to fly and maintain them. We could do it there I suppose but that would be less efficient. Yes the Qatari trainees should all be properly vetted and monitored while they are here. Same with all foreign service members here for training.

Be nice, even when you don't want to!

Well, Brian, now we know why you have brown eyes. It's from being REALLY full of shit.
I'm not racist or Islamophobic. Aren't YOU the one who told us a few years ago that Mohammed was a pedophile? (Doesn't matter if you recall or not; you did.)
Trump's sycophants  probably don't kiss ass or suck dick; at least not really. Just a figure of speech. At least I assume (and hope) that's true.
Isn't it interesting that Saudi Arabia is one  of the countries that do training here? Didn't we train the 9/11 pilots? Not part of the military thing; but somehow we still give these folks access to training only granted to certain allies. Republican POTUS have been in bed with the Saudis more than is healthy, IMO. That includes Trump, and Bush 43 for certain. Can't recall Bush 41; don't care. As for Qatar, we've had relationship with them for quite some time. Here's the Wiki article:

I would guess that if these nations didn't have a LOT of oil to sell that we would be less inclined to have these relationships. In general they don't seem to have our best interests at heart.
But I'd defer to BK on the notion of disliking Muslim nations. That's his forte.

Yes I did say Mohammed was a pedophile. According to the Koran he married Aisha at the age of 6 and consummated it at the age of 9.
Doesn't that make him a pedophile?

If I say Jesus was born of a Jewish woman am I wrong? Doesn't that make him a Jew by Jewish law?

Be nice, even when you don't want to!

Wow, Brian, you've outdone yourself on this one.
The age of Aisha is the subject of significant debate. You can look her up on Wiki and see the massive controversy.
Some equate her reputed age as a representation of her purity, rather than a numerical precision.
The same occurs in the Bible In speaking about Jesus' mother. Some translate her status as "virgin". The preferred word in the Old Testament is "young woman".
One version of the King James Bible devotes more than a page of footnotes to this controversy; explaining in great detail the translation of the Hebrew wording.
The Christians, of course, have landed on the "virgin" translation; Jews the "young woman" one. This has to do with one of the OT prophets predicting the coming of the Messiah and the circumstances of his arrival.

Looking for accurate answers to something that is 1300  years old is highly likely to miss some details.

And then there's this:

Note that marriage and CONSENT for sex was legal as young as age 10. And this was a THOUSAND years after Muhammed.
So your emphasis on Muhammed, failing to mention England (and by extension the colonies) suggests some strong anti-Islam bias.
Your slip is showing...........again.

The age of Aisha was never up for debate until society changed and made it weird to fuck little girls. It is now quite uncommon in the Westen World for girls her age to be married off and thier marriages consummated. When girls that age have sex with 50 year old men the men usually go to jail, except in some predominately Muslim countries.

And again you gloss over obvious truths. Girls that age were married off in England and colonial America centuries AFTER Muhammed. And you don't even pay lip service to it.
Imagine the possibility that you are a descendent of such a marriage. Shake a tree and find out.
What you really fail to understand, as  is normal in these discussions, is that in more primitive societies, men and women started reproducing at a much earlier age. Heck, they were dead by 40, or earlier.
Of course it's not anywhere near the norm now; but then it was. And, as I point out and you ignore, it was the norm in Christian nations as well, including THS one.
Climb down off your high horse and try to comprehend history a bit better.
And the Wiki  post shows that Aisha's age was not revised by revisionists. In fact, her age was supported by Christian polemicists. Sorry to haul out this term; it was used in the Wiki article. Polemicists engage in controversial arguments. I'd dare say, in this case, that it was their intent to smear Muhammed and thus his religion. Makes sense.

Characters from antiquity often have cloudy facts stated about them. Many feel that Moses was more of a mash-up of multiple people, or perhaps and idealized person. Same even with Jesus. Muhammed came along enough later that he's probably actually real. But many "facts" about are likely fuzzy at best, no matter how many times his story was told.
One thing about Moses that suggests that he existed is that his brother Aaron left a genetic marker in his family tree that can be discovered even today. My grandmother  told us that we were of his tribe. Still tempted to do the genetic test.

But you can call Muhammed whatever you want. 1A still applies, at least here.. Wouldn't try the whole kiddy-diddling schtick in Araby.
