Oklahoma Highway Patrol, ICE conduct illegal immigration operation https://share.google/ZkFOTXp4mgoG8BgQX

500 trucks stopped.
120 put out of service for being illegally in the country.
Many had cdl issued from states CA, NY, IL.
At least one had a real id with the star in the upper right corner who's name was no name given. Literally No Name Given was in the space for the driver's name.

Think about that almost 25% of the trucks inspected were driven by illegal aliens. Taking good paying American jobs. Bet you many if not most of them were deficient in other areas as well like safety maintenance and compliance with the hours of service rules.

I say good riddance our highways will be safer.

I also think that whoever gave Mr no name his CDL and whoever hired him or sold him insurance, or enabled him to be on the road in any way should at least be fired if not also charged with a crime.

Brian, I just got a whiff of bullshit; so I did a Google search. None of the states named will issue a CDL to "no name". They will issue one to a person with a single name.
Here's the skinny:

Do California and New York issue commercial driver's licenses with no name given, and did Oklahoma arrest 125 "illegals" with such CDLs? No, that's not true: The so-called "No Name Given" commercial driver's licenses include a mononym, which is a single name. The use of mononyms is legal in the United States and is even accepted for U.S. passports. State DMVs and the U.S. State Department place "NO NAME GIVEN" in the space where a first name would otherwise go when an applicant uses a mononym. Some cultures use mononyms, but Americans can apply to a court to change their name to a mononym.

Facts, meet Brian. Brian, meet facts. Happy to make the introduction. Maybe the Governor of Ok can be introduced as well.
Also, the US allows CDL's to be issued to foreign people with proper creds
That said, the people detained were no longer legal. Expired visas, overstays, and the usual "wetback". They should be caught up and treated accordingly. But the OK guv, and those involved, don't need to embellish the reality with made up facts that impugn states that are............blue. Just get the job done.

Just ignore that 24% of the truck drivers stopped shouldn't have been on the road.
That's a big deal.

But that's a separate issue. How many of that 24% are LEGAL?
A CDL makes you legal; it doesn't make you competent. Same for any license, including mine.
Even more to the point; how many who shouldn't be on the road are US citizens?
Nationality and immigration status and qualification to be driving are all separate issues.
Stay in the correct lane here. ICE wasn't doing stops to look for incompetent drivers; they were looking for undocumented people. And they found them
Then they try to blame Blue states for made  up non-facts.
That's what I objected to.

It is a fact that most of the illegals with CDLs come from blue states. It is a fact that most of the dangerous drivers on the road that I saw were obviously immigrants  although I couldn't tell if they were illegal or not.
I am glad that OK did this. 24% of those 500 trucks should not have been on the road. Several other states should do this.
Just fyi 500 trucks over 2 days is a small percentage of the trucks that travel that road. You could multiply that 24% across the country there are a lot of people driving trucks who shouldn't be here.

You, see Brian, your commentary sounds reasonable; but if you parse carefully:
It's a fact..............  got some data for us?
Dangerous drivers are mostly immigrants; but illegal/legal, don't know. But there's an unwritten assumption buried in there. It's typical of what Fox News does. "I don't know if they're illegal or not; but......." See how easy that is?
Note that a legal immigrant, say from India, who's been here for 15 years, still LOOKS like an immigrant, and will until they die. It's not kosher to stop them based on that fact.
I say go after bad drivers, cars, trucks, motorcycles; anything with an engine.  But that's not ICE's job. And stopping people, ANYWHERE, on the street, on the job, in a truck, based on what they LOOK like isn't really legal. Except that SCOTUS made it legal; and Kavanaugh made it worse by lying that it doesn't inconvenience legal citizens.
So BK, could any  part of you be accidentally be thought of as "immigrant"? Maybe that left arm trucker's tan? And if they  stop you to check your citizenship status, even for 10 minutes, isn't that a REAL inconvenience for you? Getting the KW back up to speed, etc. And if a masked ICE agent makes the stop, will you so very careful as to not quote 4A and make a fuss? They're known to get a bit frisky, hiding behind the mask and all. Still not being inconvenienced? You've been stopped, losing miles; you can't speak freely, violating 1A. Doesn't sound so good to me.

Yes we know you want the TSA to scope out grandma but ignore the the Muslim fighting age men who come in together but sit in differnt sections of the airplane and all are sweating excessively and looking around because you don't want to offend anyone. Fuck their feelings I want have fewer illegal aliens on the road. BTW plenty of the obviously foreign drivers I encountered were white skinned.

Be nice, even when you don't want to!

So that means that YOU might get stopped. Maybe you look Russian, or Scandinavian. I'll be thrilled to hear about it when it happens. Please fill  us in.
As for TSA, they should take notes from the Israelis (again with Jews). They know what's what. They also know that when Middle Eastern men get all the attention, terrorist organizations will recruit Swedish women. Or maybe a few fat white trucker types. Never know who might be carrying.
But Grandma can get a card that lets her get through screening lickety-split. So there's that.
Sweaty Middle Easterners? Could you just be a wee bit more racist? Yeesh.

Ah, the ubiquitous name calling. Nicely done.
And you haven't understood a thing that was said.
Any terrorist who sweats deserves to get caught. Any fucking idiot (perhaps excluding you) would know a dozen ways to prevent "flop sweat". I'm sure that would-be terrorists know the medical secrets. And here is an article about Israeli screening tactics. Clearly they go WAY beyond racial profiling; although that is included.
Gosh I'd still like to introduce you to facts. Let me know a place/time.
