It is my understanding that stroke 2 of 七 should end with とめ (a stop) instead of はね (a jump up). A google search with the terms 七 書き方 will indicate this as well as professional handwriting instructors, as can be seen here. Would it be possible to have this character updated to reflect a stop as shown here rather than the current jump up at the end of stroke 2?

The reference fonts used are given here:

which are DFKyoKaSho-W3-MP-RKSJ-H by DynaLab and A-OTF Kyoukasho ICA Pro L by Morisawa.

I looked at the fonts I have on my computer in Microsoft Word and tried to type seven in various "kyoukasho" faces and got the following results:

It appears that the current KanjiVG is not similar to the above examples, but more like a typeset version:

So the tail part probably should be removed as Gomi suggests.

The font YujiSyuku-Regular.ttf and that webpage by a professional calligrapher:
also suggest that Gomi is correct.

Thank you for the feedback, Pascal. I've added an "issue" at github here:

I, too, would love for this change to take place ASAP! I want it to be compliant with the Yu Kyokasho Yoko font. I downloaded the font onto my computer and the    ends with a stop.Screenshot 2025-06-25 084135.png
