I cannot find the option to pgp sign my mails without encrypting them in k-9 version 5.700.

It used to be a separate option in the top right corner. Now it only says "enable encryption"

Please help.

This is not a use case we want to encourage. So it's disabled by
default. See also:

You can enable it by setting 'Account settings > End-to-end encryption >
Hide unencrypted signatures' to off. Then you'll find the option "Enable
PGP Sign-Only" in the menu of the compose screen.

Great! Thanks for your help!

While I understand your viewpoint on signing without encryption and encrypting without signing.
I fully agree on the latter by the way; I do not see any usecase in encrypting without signing.

The other way around on the other hand I do understand.
I can use signed mails by only using MY pgp key and am not dependant on the other side having one. I find this especially useful in cases where I want to (or need to) prove that my mails are tampered with and now have content that I did not put in.
It sounds a bit farefatched, I know. But I have been in legal battles for years now and to me it is important that to a few recipients I can prove that they have tampered with my mails.

Thank you for leaving the option as an opt-in and not completely removing it from the app!
