K9 not automatically checking email on Note 10+

Hello all.

I upgraded from Note 8,which I still have and which receives push email instantly while the 10+ does not.

It seems like everything else on the 10 works and I think I've mirrored the settings on the 10 from the 8.

Any thoughts?

What I figured out on mine was that when I knew I had an email I swiped down on the status bar and it showed me the notification even though there wasn't a flag if you swipe slightly to the right and hit the gear change it to important notifications and it will then notify you

Interesting.
I don't have that option on either the 10+ or the 8 yet the 8 gets email almost instantly and the 10+ takes a long time, if at all.

I thought maybe the phone was putting the app to sleep to save battery life but K9 is not.

I've had K9 on many phones for many years and never had this problem.

This is what I get on my OnePlus 6T on Android 10 when I swipe down on status bar and then swipe left or right .. let's you select notification settings
