K-9 version 5.7 vs 5.6

I am still running version 5.6 today, despite having my apps in auto-update.

Could some be kind enough to post here some screenshots of the major UI changes from 5.6 to 5.7 please, so I can see what to expect?

And I have read as well that IMAP IDLE is disabled, which is possibly my favourite feature as I use emails for anything-notifications. Can anyone update us?

K-9 5.7 is a beta release, that's probably why you don't see it. IMAP IDLE will probably be back by the time it's ready to be 5.8 (stable).

It uses a new Material Design interface that IMHO resembles the Gmail app, if that gives you an idea
