Hi All,

We have students using Tinkercad to create files that must then be processed using Simplify 3D in order for supports to to generated before printing. We are printing using Dremel 3D20s, but the Dremel software does not provide supports. It seems that there is not a way to rotate the design using Simplify 3D so we need to go back to Tinkercad to rotate. Does anyone know how to rotate in Simplify 3D? Or of another software that allows rotations, scaling, and generates supports?

Thank you,
Wendy

I’ve not used Simplify 3D before, but this video seems to show how to generate supports in the software:

Hope this helps.

Hi Wendy. In Dremel DigiLab 3D Slicer 1.1.0, you should be able to do all e things that you need:

The right side of your screen, checking off the box "Generate Support" will build support underneath any part of your model that is "red"

On the left side, you can scale your model by typing in your settings or use the mouse and "push/pull" scale it.

3rd option down on the left will allow you to rotate.

Hope this helps!
