We are building Jupyter extensions and would like to check is there any guideline for the colors used in Jupyter extension?

I don't know if there are color guidelines, but you may want to consider accessibility when choosing colors. It came up in this issue:

There are! When adding things like colors and fonts, you should use the pre-defined variables. That way when someone changes between light theme and dark theme, your extension changes too. Here are how the variables are assigned for light theme:

One important note is that while there are greens listed in these variables, JupyterLab is taking out green as a way to make sure colorblind users can still use the software.
