Redirect problem with Jupyterhub

Hello,

I have setup a deployment of Jupyterhub although I have found a problem with testing it. When I attempt to access any resource on the page, I get stuck in a redirect loop between `/hub/login` and `/hub/home`. `/hub/login` redirects to `/hub/home`, and `/hub/home` redirects back to `/hub/login?next=%2Fhub%2Fhome`. I'm testing using Apache basic auth and I successfully authenticate. In addition I'm using Firefox and strangely, it works in Internet Explorer and in a Firefox incognito window.

I'm assuming the problem has something to do with the Jupyter proxy, but I don't know where to start looking.

I'm having what I think is the exact same issue. It works fine on Chrome and in an incognito window of Firefox, but not in a regular Firefox window.  Safari can get to the /hub/home directory tree, but is having issues starting a kernel.  Haven't tried it on IE.  I'm using a self-signed certificate, but I'm not sure if that affects how different browsers handle the requests.  Have you figured out anything more with the issue?

It seems the new 0.7.0b1 release is now working for me with Firefox.  I can't find the exact issue that was causing it, but the change log mentions some redirect-loop fixes.

Several of the bugfixes relate to issues that could cause redirect-loops (unfortunately, there are many classes of bugs in JupyterHub that have the same manifestation. It only requires that the Hub and single-user server disagree about whether the user is logged-in or not). There's a good chance that the cause of this is fixed in 0.7, which will go out this week.
