Which version of JupyterLab are you using, and which browser? JLab *should* be keeping track of open files and restoring the application on restart/refresh.

The URL paths are something we plan to address in the future. There are some subtleties there which aren't present in classic notebook, which make the task more difficult.

I'm using JupterLab via voice recognition, and every time I want to open a notebook I'm using the file browser to navigate to subdirectory a few levels down to open the notebook I'm working on, which gets really tedious if you're doing it by voice.

Is there a configuration setting so JupyterLab keeps track of the files you have open and reopens them the next time you start it up?

Alternatively, is there a way to navigate using a full path-- e.g. with the older version of the notebook, you can enter navigate several levels down via the address bar?

Thanks!
