When nbconverting .ipynb to .html how to add a link to the notebook css rather that the css itself ?

That's to keep the file size as small as possible.

I reckon there is ~300KB so spare.

Is there a way to do that with a jinja template ?

For example here is the one I use at the moment

It is taken from a convenience repo notebook-snapshot, that manually correct nbconvert lag:

• Use latest notebook.css to have new dataframe rendering
• Add widget 7.0 support

Note that if that I don't propose the update to nbconvert myself, it's that I'm not sure I'm doing it in the best possible way.

Would be grateful for any pointer.

I don't think there is a good way to override it at the moment. Feel free to open an issue on nbconvert about it. The difficulty is that the template doesn't know about the notebook CSS specifically - it loops over several different bits of CSS it needs to inline.
