My first post to this group:

Hello,

My Jupyter + nbopen setup in Win10 was working fine with ipnynb files in any directory launching on a double-click.  This has now changed to a cmd screen that opens for 1-2 secs and then closes.

I have been searching on the Net and the same problem has been reported by some.  One expert posted that new updates or other new programs are causing issues for which a solution is being explored.

May I ask if a "cannonical" reply is available in a post within this group which advises the complete beginner like myself to follow a sequences of steps from removal of Annaconda3, reinstall, nbopen, and then some basic steps to get Jupyter working from annaconda prompt, GUI click, and by double-clicking on a file.

I have just now learnt of your group and will begin searching your posts for an answer as well.

Many thanks,
Shahid

I've had something similar happen to my Windows machine too. In my case, invoking jupyter from the cmd line just hung seemingly forever. The only fix I came up with was the restart the machine.
