Are there open source solutions similar to domino that would e.g. run a notebook every Monday and email the results? Perhaps a custom cell magic recipe or an extension?

You can run notebooks offline with jupyter nbconvert --execute notebook.ipynb [--output destination.ipynb]. To run it every Monday, you could add this command to a cron job.
