Hello, I am curious why the recommendation is to use
  • /srv/jupyterhub for all security and runtime files for Jupyterhub install
As we know the normal linux/unix install location for third party software is /opt/packagename so wondering about why /srv was recommended for Jupyterhub.
Thanks!

It's just a convention that's been seen around for runtime files and configuration of unmanaged applications (I typically see *installations* in opt, not runtime files). It's not significant or meaningful, so you can install it wherever you like.

Thanks!
