Running JupyterHub in the enterprise

We’ve been running a JupyterHub installation on k8s within TubiTV for the past year. I just wrote a summary of our experiences https://link.medium.com/OMWhldGRm5 .
We had to make a bunch of customizations to smooth out the user experience. But in the end it felt like it was a much better choice to stay in the Jupyter ecosystem rather than go off on a fork (eg like say with nteract, polynote, etc).
Curious to hear if you guys have the same pain-points and if so did you have any interesting solutions / ideas you’d care to share?
